USEFUL INFORMATION

Here we want to give some useful information when you are looking for accommodation. Read it, it might be useful for you.

  • Check your neighborhood for adds on shop windows, bus stops, notice boards
  • Check what shops, buses, trains, tube lines you have near your potential house
  • Check carefully the place you are going to live in
  • Read the contract carefully and make sure you understand it! Only sign the contract if you are happy with it
  • Make sure you've got a key for the house/flat and for your own room
  • If you have any problems with your neighbours, talk to your landlord
  • Keep your own records about payment, bills, deposits - always ask the landlord/agency for the receipt!
  • If you plan to leave, give the notice to your landlord in advance - otherwise you might lose your deposit.
