Here we want
to give some useful information when you are looking for accommodation.
Read it, it might be useful for you.
- Check your
neighborhood for adds on shop windows, bus stops, notice boards
- Check what
shops, buses, trains, tube lines you have near your potential
house
- Check carefully
the place you are going to live in
- Read the
contract carefully and make sure you understand it! Only
sign the contract if you are happy with it
- Make sure
you've got a key for the house/flat and for your own room
- If you have
any problems with your neighbours, talk to your landlord
- Keep your
own records about payment, bills, deposits - always ask the landlord/agency
for the receipt!
- If you plan
to leave, give the notice to your landlord in advance - otherwise
you might lose your deposit.
