NEWSAGENTS ADS
Another place to look for adds is newsagents display windows. This is how many students find accommodation.

You can find newsagents shops everywhere, although not all of them have ads. We advise you to always have some paper and a pen with you. If you find an offer which you think would suit you, ring the place straight away and make an appointment. And if you like it, grab it!

Especially if you cannot find anything and you are getting desperate, or you can also try to write your own ad and ask the owner/manager of the shop to hang it on the window for you. Make sure it is written in correct English and there is a contact telephone number on it. You never know - for example someone in the area might have got a room to rent but still has not come round to advertise it and might give you a call! On the other hand, be careful, especially if you are a girl, and take a good look at the place before you move in.
